Part 1: The Lie That Started Everything
Zara only agreed to the fake wedding because she was broke.
Her struggling fashion business was crashing, her rent was due, and her aunt—rich, dramatic, and obsessed with weddings—had promised a massive inheritance to whichever niece got married first.
So when Malik, her quiet but dangerously charming friend from university, jokingly said, “Let’s just pretend we’re married and split the money,” she laughed—and then said yes.
One fake ceremony. A few photos. And a year of pretending to be in love. Easy, right?
Wrong.
Because somewhere between the staged kisses and fake couple Instagram posts, Zara started falling for him.
The way he called her “Zar” when no one else did. How he knew she hated cold tea, or how he’d secretly fix her sewing machine at night while she slept.
But he was acting. This was all fake.
Wasn’t it?
Part 2: The Moment It Fell Apart
Everything was going perfectly—until the day Zara walked in on Malik, staring at a photo of another woman.
“Who is she?” Zara asked, voice low.
He hesitated. “My ex. She wanted to get back together.”
Zara laughed bitterly. “So I’m just your cover story?”
“No. You’re—” He paused. “You’re the one I didn’t see coming.”
She didn’t wait to hear more. She packed her bags that night and left without saying goodbye.
Part 3: The Twist
Three months passed.
Zara was back in her studio, sewing alone, broke again—but at peace. She’d deleted the fake wedding posts, shut down the lie, and told her aunt the truth.
It was a delivery. A small black box with a letter:
Zar,
This wasn’t fake for me. Not even for a second. I wanted to tell you that night, but I panicked. I didn’t want to lose you before I could even say I love you.
The photo? It was us—from the first time I knew I wanted you forever.
If you still feel anything at all… meet me at the place we said ‘I do.’ 7 PM.
This time, it’s real.
—Malik
Inside the box was a ring.
She didn’t think. She ran.
Part 4: The Real Wedding
Only love.
As Malik placed the ring on her finger, he whispered, “Not for money. Not for a photo. Just for us.”
Zara smiled through tears.
And this time, when they kissed—there was nothing fake about it.
❤ “Would you marry someone for money, then fall in love for real?”
